Your Stay With Us

For donors who do not live in beautiful South Florida, we will arrange your stay, including transportation and hotel accommodations. If you plan to stay additional nights beyond your donation, we would be happy to make recommendations and assist you.

Transportation

Ground transportation will be provided to and from the collection center on the day of donation. For distant donors, flights and airport pickups / drop offs will be arranged as well. Our limousine service’s staff is highly trained, and your driver will be identified with a branded collection center sign and lapel pin. Cars are new, clean and stocked with fresh cold water.

Hotel Accomodations

Your hotel will be in downtown Delray Beach, named "Most Fun Small Town in the USA" by Rand McNally, USA Today and the Travel Channel. Delray Beach’s breathtaking seaside resort setting is surrounded by an abundance of eclectic dining, one-of-a-kind shopping, rich history, culture and art, fun for every age, and miles of award-winning beaches. Your hotel is only 15 minutes from the collection center.

Fine dining is available for Gift of Life stem cell donors, both at the hotel and in the downtown Delray Beach area. Spacious hotel rooms are part of every Gift of Life Marrow Registry stem cell donor's "donation vacation" when they choose to donate at the Adelson Collection Center in Boca Raton, Fla.
Delray Beach, on the Gold Coast of South Florida, offers beautiful beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. Gift of Life donors who choose to come to the Adelson Collection Center can look forward to beach time during their "donation vacation." Gift of Life donors who choose to complete donation at the collection center in Florida can look forward to enjoying time at the resort's pool deck.

Manatee Lagoon

Manatee Lagoon, an FPL Eco-Discovery Center, is a FREE Palm Beach County educational attraction with a dedicated area for viewing manatees up close. The 16,000-square-foot center features engaging, hands-on exhibits for visitors to learn all about these threatened and unique creatures, as well as the natural wonders of the surrounding Lake Worth Lagoon.

On cold winter days, the facility’s observation deck is the ideal spot to view manatee herds basking in the warm-water outflows from FPL’s adjacent Riviera Beach Next Generation Clean Energy Center.

Red Reef Park

The 67-acre, oceanfront park located at 1400 State Road A1A in Boca Raton offers a myriad of amenities including snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing at the beach amid beautiful, natural scenery. Gumbo Limbo Nature Center and the Red Reef Executive Golf Course are part of this scenic stop on Florida's East Coast.

The walkways and heavily foliated areas are favored haunts for a wide variety of birds. Nature related programming is conducted at the park through Gumbo Limbo Nature Center.

There are 34 golf courses in Boca Raton, Florida and 7 are municipal courses. There are also another 66 golf courses within 20 miles of Boca Raton, including 25 public, 8 municipal, and 33 private courses.

The oldest course in the Boca Raton area is the Delray Beach Golf Club which was designed by Donald J. Ross, ASGCA and Ward W. Northrup, ASGCA and opened in 1923. Intracoastal Waterway Yacht Cruises

Experience the calm waters of the Intracoastal Waterway aboard the Lady Atlantic and Lady Delray while enjoying your favorite beverage or snack on a two-hour narrated tour past some of the area’s most beautiful mansions. See a variety of marine life in its natural habitat and a little about the area’s history.

Cruise from Veterans Park on East Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach south to Boca Raton. There are also occasional cruises north towards Manalapan Island. Delray Yacht Cruises also offers Holiday Lights Cruises during December, and Sunset Cruises on select evenings.
